An AMBER Alert is an emergency response system used in various countries, including the United States, to quickly notify the public about child abduction cases. It stands for “America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response” (AMBER) and aims to mobilize communities to assist in the search for abducted children. When law enforcement believes a child is in imminent danger and meets specific criteria, such as age and description, an alert is issued through various media channels, including radio, television, and digital platforms, to enlist the public’s help in locating the child and suspect involved. The goal is to rapidly spread critical information to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

DPS reported that Henderson Calderon Carranza, aged 5, was last observed at 9 p.m. near Antoine Drive and Birchmont Drive in northwest Houston. Henderson stands 3 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 55 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. No details were provided regarding his clothing.
